Belgium pulled off a stunning 3-2 comeback victory against Senegal in the World Cup round of 32 at Seattle Stadium Wednesday.
Senegal had built a 2-0 lead courtesy of goals from Habib Diarra and Ismaïla Sarr, but Belgium fought back late in regulation with an 86th-minute goal from substitute Romelu Lukaku and an 89th-minute equalizer from Youri Tielemans.
The match looked destined for a shootout until Tielemans was fouled deep into extra time. Belgium was awarded a penalty kick after a VAR review, and Tielemans converted from the spot in the 125th minute to give Belgium the win.
