Canada will play Qatar and Switzerland in Group B at the 2026 World Cup next summer. The group stage match-ups were decided during the official World Cup draw held in Washington, DC Friday.
But co-hosts Canada will need to wait until next year to learn who they’ll open their tournament against. Their first opponent of the World Cup will be the winner of the European Path A playoffs held in March.
This means the Canadian men will open their third-ever World Cup campaign against either Italy, Wales, Bosnia and Herzegovina or Northern Ireland in Toronto June 12.
Canada will then move to Vancouver for their remaining group stage matches against Qatar June 18 and Switzerland June 24.
Canada’s World Cup fixtures
