Pacific FC beat Winnipeg’s Valour FC 3-2 to stay atop the Canadian Premier League table in Victoria Sunday afternoon.
Pacific FC’s Alejandro Diaz opened the scoring in the 11th minute before Austen Ricci equalized for Valour. Pacific pushed the rest of the half and scored two more, Matteo Polisi at 22 minutes and Terran Campbell in the 35th. Valour did have a few good chances near the end of the half but could not close.
The second half continued with both teams getting their share of quality chances. Only one shot would find the back of the net and that was from the penalty spot for Valour with Keven Aleman putting it away in the 86th minute.
