Cavalry FC was eliminated from the TELUS Canadian Championship after a 1-1 draw with the Major League Soccer’s Vancouver Whitecaps in Calgary Monday night, losing 5-2 on aggregate.
Cavalry FC scored first when Ali Musse headed home a cross from Harry Paton in the 75th minute. The hosts pushed for a second but former Cavalry loanee Mihail Gherasimencov sealed the series for Vancouver with a late goal in the 86th minute.
