Vancouver FC extended their winning streak to five matches with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Canadian Premier League leaders Forge FC in Hamilton Friday night.
Vancouver’s Damiano Pecile scored the match’s lone goal shortly before halftime, latching on to a Thierno Bah through ball and finishing past the Forge goalkeeper.
While Pecile appeared to be a step behind the Forge backline, he was ruled onside by a hair’s breadth under the CPL’s current ‘daylight’ offside rule.
