Canada beat Wales 1-0 in international friendly action in Swansea, Wales Tuesday.
Defender Derek Cornelius scored the lone goal with a spectacular free kick effort in the 40th minute, lifting the Canadians to their second victory of this international window – Canada beat Romania 3-0 in Bucharest Friday.
“If we can get as much out of every window that we got out of this window, then we will be a very good team by next summer,” said Canada coach Jesse Marsch after the match.
