Maria Paula Salas gave Costa Rica the lead in the 27th minute. And the visitors led at halftime.
But the Canadian women’s quality eventually shone through after the interval. Shelina Zadorsky, Holly Ward, Zara Chavoshi and Emma Regan scored to earn the hosts a deserved win.
