Canada beat Jamaica 3-0 in Monterrey, Mexico Thursday to advance to the 2022 Concacaf W Championship final.
Jessie Fleming, Alyssa Chapman and Adriana Leon scored for Canada.
“Clean sheet, three goals, and we’ve added fullback to the many positions that have scored at this tournament,” said Bev Priestman, Canada Soccer’s Women’s team coach. “We’re over the moon to be in the Final, but we’re not just here to take part in the Final. Our goal is qualification to the Olympic Games through this tournament.”
The Canadians will face USA Monday to try to earn automatic qualification to the 2024 Olympics. Canada qualified for World Cup 2023 by reaching the Concacaf W Championship semifinals.
