In Pictures: Canada knocked out of Gold Cup by Haiti

Canada’s men’s soccer team fell 3-2 to Haiti in the quarterfinals of the 2019 Concacaf Gold Cup in Houston, Texas Saturday.

Canada led 2-0 at halftime thanks to goals by Jonathan David (18′) and Lucas Cavallini (28′). But Haiti ran out winners thanks to second half goals by Duckens Nazon (50′), Herve Bazile (70′) and Wilde Donald Guerrier (76′).

Haiti will now face the winner of Mexico vs Costa Rica in a semifinal held in Glendale, Arizona just west of Phoenix.

The Concacaf Gold Cup is the regional competition of the men’s national football teams governed by CONCACAF, determining the continental champion of North AmericaCentral America, and the Caribbean. The Gold Cup is held every two years.
