FC Edmonton beat Canadian Premier League leaders Pacific FC 2-1 in Edmonton Wednesday night.

Pacific dominated possession for long periods of the match but FC Edmonton converted two first half chances to take a healthy lead into the break – goals coming from Easton Ongaro and Azriel Gonzalez.

Pacific’s Alessandro Hojabrpour scored early in the second half, but it would not be enough.

FC Edmonton play Cavalry FC away on October 9. Pacific FC play Wanderers FC away on October 11.
