Cavalry FC started strong, with Joe Mason scoring in the 1st minute with a header off a corner kick.

Forge FC expertly managed the remainder of the game to earn the three points, limiting the hosts to only a handful of half chances.

“I think we started well, and I think we ended well,” said Cavalry FC head coach Tommy Wheeldon Jr. “But that sandwich in between, they were better than us.”

Cavalry FC next face FC Edmonton Saturday, while Forge FC visits Atlético Ottawa Sunday.
