“This is what you want in these games. We know it’s a tough situation coming away from home, having one month between games. We knew that was going to be a bit of a challenge.”

Forge FC’s David Choiniere had given the Hamilton club in the 21st minute. But the hosts equalized in the 38th minute thanks to a goal by Kevin Arquímides Oviedo.

Forge FC will next face Panama’s Tauro in the next round Nov. 3 in Panama City.

Forge qualified for the 2020 Concacaf League as 2019 Canadian Premier League Champions. This is Forge FC’s second appearance in the Concacaf League after reaching the round of 16 in 2019.

The Concacaf League is an annual continental club competition organized by CONCACAF, the Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football. The competition features 22 teams in a knockout cup. The top six teams in the competition proceed to the Concacaf Champions League.
