The Vancouver Whitecaps lost 2-1 to Inter Miami in Major League Soccer action in Vancouver Saturday, May 25.
A record crowd of over 50,000 watched the defeat at BC Place. The Whitecaps highest ever attendance was due to local fans anticipating a visit by Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez. But the superstars chose not to travel with the Florida club, leaving many fans disappointed.
Robert Taylor and Leonardo Campana scored for the visitors and Ryan Gauld pulled one back for the hosts.
