Toronto FC were eliminated from Major League Soccer playoff contention after a 1-0 home loss to MLS Supporters Shield winner Inter Miami in Toronto Saturday.
TFC required a win agains Lionel Messi’s club to hold on to any hope of a post season in 2024. But a single goal by Leanardo Campana in second half stoppage time ended Toronto’s season.
Lionel Messi made a substitute appearance in the second half, despite his club needing nothing from the match.
