Cavalry FC earned their full three points of the 2025 Canadian Premier League season with a 2-1 win over York United at York Lions Stadium Friday night.

Tobias Warschewski opened the scoring for Cavalry in the 42nd minute.  Julian Altobelli equalized for York a minute into first half stoppage time. But substitute Fraser Aird scored the winner in the 69th minute, securing Cavalry’s first victory of the season.

“It was nice to get a goal, but most importantly, it’s a team game, and getting our first win is massive,” said Aird post game. “Hopefully, the win today gives us more confidence, and we can build from this.”
