Cavalry FC picked up its second win of the new Canadian Premier League season to maintain a perfect record Sunday. The Cavs beat Atlético Ottawa 4-1 in both teams’ second game of the campaign.
Ahinga Selemani capitalized on a error by Atlético goalkeeper Dylon Powley to score in the 9th minute. Miguel Acosta equalized in the 24th minute, capitalizing on some poor Cavalry FC defensive tracking.
But the Cavs took full control of the match once Selemani scored his second in the 43rd minute. Victor Loturi and Elliot Simmons each scored late in the second half to secure all three points for Calgary’s club.
