Montréal’s  withdrawal leaves Toronto (BMO Field) and Edmonton (Commonwealth Stadium) as Canada’s only remaining prospective venues. Vancouver withdrew from consideration in 2018 after the British Columbia provincial government chose not to support the hosting bid.
