Forge FC announced the re-signing of Swedish midfielder Alex Achinioti-Jönsson and Senegalese international midfielder Elimane Cissé for the 2021 Canadian Premier League season Friday.
24-year-old Achinioti-Jönsson, 24, has made 44 appearances for Forge FC over two championship winning seasons, scoring three goals and two assists in all competitions.
Loading ...Prior to arriving at Hamilton’s club, Achinioti-Jönsson played in the top Swedish Allsvenskan and Superettan leagues with IFK Varnamo , Helsingborgs IF and Hittarps IK. He also represented Sweden at the U19 level.
25-year-old Cissé, 25, has made 37 appearances for Forge FC over two seasons scoring two goals and two assists in all competitions. Before Forge FC, he played for Senegalese club Diambars de Saly Dourbel. Cissé has 12 caps for the Senegal national team and 19 caps at youth level, including at the 2015 FIFA U20 World Cup.
