Cavalry FC and FC Edmonton drew 1-1 in the their final meeting of the 2021 Canadian Premier League season at Atco Field Saturday, Oct. 9, 2021.
FC Edmonton opened the scoring when Marcus Velado-Tsegaye beat Cavalry FC keeper Marco Carducci during a goalmouth scramble in the 15th minute.
Cavalry responded well and eventually found the net when Richard Luca headed in his first goal of the season in the 20th minute. The Cavs continued to pressurize for the remainder of the first half but couldn’t find another goal.
And neither side was able to take control of the second half, with both teams ending up with a single point.
