Valour FC announce the signing of Canadian midfielder Keven Alemán for the 2021 Canadian Premier League season Thursday.
The club also announced Alemán will be loaned to Costa Rican Guadalupe FC until May 2021. He plans to join up with Valour FC later that month for the proposed start of the 2021 Canadian Premier League season.
Alemán joins Winnipeg’s club from FC Edmonton for whom he made seven appearances for at the 2020 CPL Island Games, scoring one goal.
“Keven has a vast amount of experience in the CONCACAF region,” said Rob Gale, Valour FC head coach. “He’s an exciting and dynamic number ten. Fans can get excited about his ability to unlock defenses with his creativity and goal-scoring threat.”
Before joining FC Edmonton in 2020, Alemán made 40 appearances for Sacramento Republic FC, of the USL, scoring three goals.
The Costa Rica born midfielder has also been capped four times for the Canadian national team, with his most recent appearance in 2017
