FC Edmonton announced the re-signing of midfielder Allan Zebie for the 2021 Canadian Premier League season Tuesday.
The 2021 season will the 27-year old’s sixth season with FC Edmonton between the Canadian Premier League (CPL) and the North American Soccer League (NASL) editions appearing in 28 games in the CPL and 58 games in the NASL, logging 2382 minutes in the CPL.
Delighted To Be Back
“I am delighted to be back for another season,” said Zebie via club statement. “It makes me proud to represent my hometown again, and I am looking forward to working hard, and helping to right the wrongs that the team made in 2020.”
Zebie was a product of the FC Edmonton Academy before his first appearance with the Eddies in 2015. He started five games at the 2020 Canadian Premier League Island Games logging 412 minutes.
“Allan has proven that he can be a successful member of the team both in the NASL and CPL,” said Alan Koch, FC Edmonton head coach. “I look forward to seeing his progression as we move forward as a club with our preparations for the 2021 season. His positional versatility, selflessness and commitment to the team will be a major part of the culture that we install in our new group this coming season.”
