Calgary Foothills WFC held open try-outs April 1-2 in preparation for their inaugural season in the 2017 United Women’s Soccer (UWS) league.

Head coach Troye Flannery admitted that he and his staff face some difficult decisions, but he’s certain this past weekend’s sessions will prove beneficial for his club.

“There are a couple standouts,” Flannery said during the second day of try-outs Sunday afternoon. “It’s going to make decisions difficult. Last night, (I) tried to put down some names. And it’s difficult. But that’s what we want.”

Try-outs for Foothills FC were also held April 1-2. The United Women’s Soccer league begins in May and goes through to July.
