The Canada women’s soccer team booked its ticket to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics Friday with a semifinal victory over Costa Rica at the Concacaf Olympic qualifiers in Carson, California.
A second-half goal by Jordyn Huitema was enough to see the Canadians through. Canada will meet either USA or Mexico in the tournament’s final which goes Sunday.
The 2020 Tokyo Olympics begins in July.
