Cavalry FC beat Winnipeg’s Valour FC 4-1 in the Canadian Premier League at Spruce Meadows Wednesday night.
Dominique Malonga scored in the 52nd minute after an excellent through ball from Dominick Zator. Marco Bustos equalized for the visitors in the 77th minute. But Oliver Minatel and Malonga, again, scored to secure the three points for the hosts.
The result keeps Calgary’s Cavalry FC within a two points of Hamilton’s Forge FC in the CPL fall season table.
Cavalry FC will next host Halifax’s HFX Wanderers Saturday, while Valour FC plays FC Edmonton this weekend.
