York United were held to a 2-2 home draw by Forge FC in Canadian Premier League action in north Toronto Sunday.
Rezart Rama opened the scoring for the visitors in the 12th minute, but Riley Ferrazzo equalized two minutes later.
Loading ...The hosts then took the lead with a penalty kick from Julian Altobelli in the 29th minute. But that lead only lasted 4 minutes, as Forge FC’s Brian Wright also scored from the penalty spot.
“I thought that the players today showed personality, show that there has been growth on the mental side as well. It’s good to see because you have a lot of quality technically,” said York United coach Mauro Eustáquio. “Guys are understanding it. Technically, the players that we have out there, it’s up to us as a staff to grow them on the mental side.”
