Canadian Premier League leaders Atletico Ottawa continued their impressive start to the league season with a 2-0 win over Valour FC in Winnipeg Sunday.

Ollie Bassett and Samual Salter scored for the visitors, ensuring the capital city club ended the weekend seven points ahead of second place Vancouver FC.

“We came here knowing that it wasn’t going to be easy game, despite our results, so we put that past us,” said Ottawa’s Matteo de Brienne after the game. “We knew that Valour had something they wanted to fight for, and they were going to come grab it, but everybody through 90 minutes was solid today, and that’s a great feeling to be apart of.”
