Atlético Ottawa has signed 22-year-old Toronto centre-back Luke Singh on a season-long loan.
Singh made a total of eight appearances for Toronto FC in Major League Soccer and the Concacaf Champions League in 2021, before joining FC Edmonton on loan for the 2022 Canadian Premier League season. He made 24 appearances for the club before it ceased operations after the 2022 season.
“Luke is a young player who had an impressive season in the Canadian Premier League last year during a difficult season for FC Edmonton,” said Atlético Ottawa head coach Carlos Gonzalez Thursday. “He has shown good strength of character and will be eager to prove himself this season.
“He is a strong defender with a good passing range and, his ability to play with both feet adds increased depth and versatility to our defensive line.”
Atlético Ottawa kicks off its 2023 Canadian Premier League season at home against HFX Wanderers Saturday, April 15.
