Valour FC came back from a three-goal deficit to draw FC Edmonton 3-3 in Canadian Premier League action in Edmonton Saturday.

But the draw wasn’t enough to keep the Winnipeg club in contention for the final playoff spot. Edmonton had been eliminated from playoff contention weeks ago.

FC Edmonton took a two-goal lead into halftime thanks to goals by Tobias Warschewski and Amer Didić. Azriel Gonzalez gave the hosts a three-goal lead in the 48th minute.
Valour FC responded and staged a late comeback with two gaols by Moses Dyer in the 78th and 81st minutes before Daryl Fordyce grabbed the equalizer in the 88th minute.
Both teams went looking for a winning goal late on, but neither found one.
“They fought until the bitter end,” said Phil Dos Santos, Valour FC head coach after the match. “We wanted to be in the fight until the last minute, and we were fighting until the last minute.”
