Canada were eliminated from the Women’s World Cup after losing 2-1 to England in Vancouver Saturday.

Two early first-half goals by the English proved enough to knock the hosts out of the tournament, despite a Christine Sinclair goal.

England now go on to play Japan in the semi-finals in Edmonton Wednesday, July 1.
