Canada will play Honduras, Curaçao and El Salvador in Group B in the first round of the 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup this summer. The Canadian men learned their opponents during the draw held in Miami Thursday, and found out their schedule Friday.
Canada will open their tournament against Honduras at BC Place in Vancouver Tuesday, June 17. They last met Honduras in a Concacaf Nations League group fixture in Toronto in 2023. The Canadians won 4-1 thanks to goals by Cyle Larin (2), Jonathan David and Jonathan Osorio.

After playing Honduras they will travel to Houston, Texas to play the next two games at Shell Energy Stadium against Curaçao Saturday, June 21 and El Salvador Tuesday, June 24.
USA hosting 2025 Gold Cup, but Vancouver gets one match
The United States will serve as primary hosts of the 2025 Gold Cup, with matches taking place in 13 stadiums across US 10 cities. But Vancouver was awarded one game, in part to help prepare for World Cup 2026 hosting duties.
The first round of the competition will run from June 14 to 24, with the opening match taking place at SoFI Stadium in Los Angeles, California between Mexico and Dominican Republic.
Loading ...The four group winners and four runners-up in the first round will advance to the knockout stage. The quarterfinals will be held June 28 and 29, followed by the semifinals July 2. The 2025 Gold Cup Final will take place at NRG Stadium in Houston Texas Sunday, July 6.
The Gold Cup matches will be Canada’s last official competitive games before co-hosting the 2026 World Cup. Recent Gold Cups have seen Canada rest key players after their long European club seasons. But Canada coach Jesse Marsch could be tempted into fielding a more competitive roster with the World Cup on the horizon.
Canada reached the quarterfinals in the previous Gold Cup in 2023. But they lost on penalties to the United States after finishing the match 2-2 in Cincinnati.
